l’estate è alle porte e tutti noi abbiamo voglia di quel senso di libertà tipico di questa stagione!
Quale modo migliore di esprimerlo se non comprando un biglietto aereo destinazione Ibiza?!
Lì troverete ad attendervi un concept-store veramente fantastico dove trascorrere ore perdendovi tra i molteplici oggetti e vestiti che vi sono al suo interno…ed all’esterno. 🙂 🙂
SLUIZ: questo il nome del negozio inaugurato dieci anni fa da una coppia di olandesi, Hans ed Jvon.
Inizialmente avevano un negozio ad Amsterdam nel quale vendevano oggetti di design sia vecchi che nuovi poi si sono trasferiti ad Ibiza ed hanno lanciato SLUIZ, a Santa Gertrude. L’edificio, un’ex discoteca, adesso è un multi-store con annesso un bar (sempre aperto) ed un ristorante aperto dalle 13 alle 18 dove alla domenica servono l’hamburgesa proponendo dell’ ottima musica.
Hans e Jvon hanno una figlia che lavora con loro, oltre a 50 dipendenti che si sentono come a casa, in una grande famiglia.
Non è raro vedere Hans in persona che parte in “direzione mondo” col suo furgone alla ricerca di oggetti particolari o di idee nuove da esporre in negozio.
In questo modo SLUIZ diventa un concept-store contenente di tutto, dai vestiti agli oggetti per la casa agli allestimenti da giardino…la mentalità di Hans ed Jvon è aperta e ciò si percepisce bene guardando SLUIZ e rimanendo affascinati da tutto quello che vi è esposto.
Il “tema” cambia di anno in anno, ad esempio per l’estate 2016 troviamo il tema sport invece nel 2015 era il garage con le autovetture dentro al negozio perché ogni volta l’ambiente viene trasformato in base al tema.
Nello store vengono organizzati eventi tutto l’anno, si suona musica dal vivo e c’è anche il cinema ed il mercato di Natale. A richiesta c’è un gruppo di teatro che va a cucinare direttamente a casa dei clienti deliziandoli non solo col cibo ma anche con uno show.
SLUIZ è per tutti i tipi di clientela, non c’è fascia di prezzo e non è rivolto ad un target in particolare, la parola chiave è: libertà.
Hans ed Jvon ci presentano designer che spaziano dalla A alla Z ai quali si aggiungono le creazioni del loro atelier dove producono abbigliamento, tessuti, cuscini, tappezzeria; dopo il successo di Ibiza hanno aperto SLUIZ a Palma di Mallorca.
Il negozio rimane aperto 363 giorni all’anno, chiude solo a Natale ed il primo dell’anno.
Un’ultima curiosità: il nome Sluiz è stato ispirato dalla parola Sluis, le tipiche dighe fluviali dei canali olandesi.

Hello everybody!
Summer is fast approaching and we all are looking forward to that feeling of freedom typical of that season!
One of the best of ways for expressing it is buying a ticket to Ibiza!
Over there you will find waiting for you a really fantastic concept store where one can spend hours strolling among the multiple objects and clothes that are inside … and outside.
SLUIZ, this is the name of the store inaugurated ten years ago by a Dutch couple, Hans and Jvon.
They originally had a shop in Amsterdam where they used to sell design objects both old and new. They moved then to Ibiza and inaugurated SLUIZ, in Santa Gertrude.
The building, a former disco, is now a multi-store with an adjacent bar (always open) and a restaurant (opening hours from 13 to 18) where, on Sundays, they serve the hamburgesa accompanied by great music.
Hans and Jvon have a daughter who works with them together their 50 employees who really feel at home as part of a big family.
It is not unusual to see Hans driving his van “direction to the world” in the search for particular items or new ideas to be displayed in the store.
That’s the way how SLUIZ becomes a concept store containing everything from clothes to household items to garden fittings … the mentality of Hans and Jvon is very open and that’s something you can feel while looking at SLUIZ and everything it is contained in there.
“Theme” changes every year, for example, for the 2016 summer we find that the theme is Sport whereas in 2015 it was the “Garage” with cars inside the store as every time the setting inside of the store in transformed so to speak the same language of the main theme.
In-store events are organized throughout the year, live music is always on and there are also cinema and the Christmas market. Upon request SLUIZ offers the services of theater-group that goes directly at customers’ home for live cooking and a show.
SLUIZ is for all types of customers, there is no price range and is not aimed at a target in particular, the key word is: freedom.
Hans and Jvon like introducing designers ranging from A to Z to whom are added the creations of their studios where they produce clothing, fabrics, pillows, upholstery;
The store has now been replicated in Palma de Mallorca.
The shop is open 363 days a year. It remains closed only on Christmas and New Year’s Day.
One last curiosity: the Sluiz name was inspired by the word Sluis, typical river dykes of Dutch channels.
